Mr. Ravindra S. Naidu first started operations in 1996 in the transport business under the brand name SA Transport. He expanded to a fleet of tankers, trucks, container – trailers, wheel loaders, etc. Seeing the growth of the shipping industry, he decided to shift from the transport business in 2003 to the shipping business with a 750 DWT ore carrying barge in Goa in the year 2003. In the year 2003, he ventured into the shipping business with a 750 DWT ore carrying barge in Goa. The core areas where SA Shipping had its presence include:
i) Dry Bulk Cargo Handling Coal (Import - Ship to Shore): SA Shipping had exclusively bagged the contract of Esquire Shipping & Trading Pvt. Ltd., for complete port handling at Indo Energy Jetty at Sanegaon (RevdandaPort, Maharashtra) and had employed 10 barges to fulfil its commitment.
ii) Iron ore( Export-Shore to ship) : Engaged in Iron ore handling at Redi port, Maharashtra from 2005 to 2021, has successfully handled millions of metric tones of cargo at this port.
iii) Tanker Operations Petroleum Products: SA Shipping had been engaged with handling fuel oil, high flash High Speed Diesel [HSD] and marine gas oil at Cochin Port. SA Shipping acquired a 1500 MT inland barge tanker in year 2016, which is chartered to Matrix Bharat – a BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) Joint Venture.SA Shipping acquired a 1000 MT Oiler Tanker in year 2023, which is chartered to Dubai Based Global Trading Company
